While originally from Pittsburgh, Christine Bethea spent some of her formative years in rural Illinois. Initially she was told that her brother had more artistic talent and she was not an artist. She focused instead on writing and it wasn't until working in advertising as a copywriter that she met people in the art department who reintroduced her to created artwork. Her piece, My Four Mammy's is included in the latest Finder Quigley exhibition happening on March 26th in the August Wilson Center.
